Vachdorf Primary Wins 'Movement Calendar 2024', Gets Jersey Set for Innovative Fitness Program

Vachdorf primary school has been named the final and twelfth monthly winner of the 'Movement Calendar 2024' initiative. The school received its prize from State Councilor Peggy Greiser and Henry Borchert of the State School Office of South Thuringia.

The school's winning entry was a video showcasing 'Moving breaks - Fit for the holidays'. This featured joint movement tasks both in the classroom and on the schoolyard. The initiative, which aimed to promote sports and joy in movement across the district, awarded twelve jersey sets throughout the year to schools that creatively implemented a sport or movement task. The jersey set awarded to Vachdorf primary school was funded by the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen with support from the Rhön-Rennsteig Sparkasse. It featured the Pride Region logo.

Vachdorf primary school's commitment to promoting physical activity has been recognised with the final monthly award of the 'Movement Calendar 2024' initiative. The school received a high-quality jersey set for its innovative approach to incorporating movement into daily school life.
