Weekly Highlight: Blake Bacas from Class of 2026 Honored as Crusader

Blake Bacas, a student at Holy Cross College, hails from the picturesque town of Saratoga Springs, NY. With a major in Economics and Political Science, Blake is a driven individual who excels both on and off the court.

During a recent halftime competition, Blake showcased his basketball skills, winning the HC Men's Basketball Halftime competition. His love for the sport is evident, but Blake's interests extend far beyond the basketball court.

In the world of food, Blake has a soft spot for overpriced Croad's sushi and the General Tso's Chicken from Kimball dining hall. When it comes to dining off-campus, Via is his go-to restaurant.

Blake's taste in media is as diverse as his palate. He is a fan of the critically acclaimed TV show, Succession, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His favourite books include Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis and Birdman.

On campus, Blake is an active member of several clubs, including the Finance Club, The Spire, Consulting Club, College Street Journal, and the Federalist Society. His favourite spot to study is the Debate Room in the Library.

Blake's favourite memory at Holy Cross was his parents' weekend sophomore year. As for the future, Blake plans to pursue further education, though his post-graduation plans are still undecided.

Like many students, Blake has a few wishes for Holy Cross. He would like to see more dining options and, in a dream scenario, an intramural championship t-shirt. When he's not busy with academics or extracurricular activities, Blake looks forward to seeing his dogs back home.

In his own words, Blake lives by the motto, "Trust the process." This mantra, combined with his passion for learning and his love for the Holy Cross community, makes Blake Bacas a student to watch.
