In a heartfelt celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, the international cultural-educational project 'Train of Friendship: Together to Victory!' took place in Blagoveshchensk from September 15 to 17. The initiative, organised by Yakutia with the support of the Amur region, aimed to strengthen interregional ties and preserve the historical memory of the war.

The project brought together representatives from various generations and regions, including Yakutia, the Amur region, China, and Mongolia. The Deputy Minister for External Relations and Affairs of Nationalities of Yakutia, Tatiana Piatkina, stated that the project had acquired a special significance and deep meaning.

The events began with a patriotic marathon at the Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University, where students participated enthusiastically. The delegation, which included Alexander Podgornov, Vice President of the Yakutia Parliament, also met with representatives of the Amur region government, including Deputy Chairman Andrei Dyumin and Vice-Speaker Alexander Podgornov.

An exhibition titled 'Victory in Our Hearts' was organised at the Amur Regional History Museum, featuring reproductions of paintings from the collection of the National Art Museum of Yakutia, frontline letters, and works of Yakutian decorative and applied art masters. A roundtable dedicated to the contribution of nations to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the museum, with researchers, archivists, and educators from Yakutia and the Amur region presenting reports on the historical aspects of the wartime.

Master classes on traditional crafts were held during the project, providing an opportunity for participants to learn and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the regions involved. Blagoveshchensk schoolchildren also participated in lessons of interethnic communication.

The final event was a concert at the Center for Aesthetic Education of Children, featuring creative collectives from Yakutia and the Amur region. The concert was a poignant and powerful reminder of the unity and shared history of the nations that came together in celebration.

Alexander Podgornov, Vice President of the Yakutia Parliament, participated in the project as a representative and supporter, promoting cultural ties and cooperation. His presence underscored the importance of such initiatives in fostering understanding and friendship between nations.

The international cultural-educational project 'Train of Friendship: Together to Victory!' served as a testament to the enduring spirit of unity and cooperation that characterised the Great Patriotic War. It provided a platform for the exchange of ideas, the celebration of shared history, and the strengthening of bonds between nations.
